- 7 tablespoons butter
- 7 tablespoons flour
- 4 1/2 cups beef broth
- 2 1/4 teaspoons salt
- Melt the butter, then add the flour over med heat
- Blend thoroughly until a paste.
- Slowly add the broth, salt and pepper and blend until mixture thickens.
